Arrival in the morning and rest time until noon. After lunch we will have an introduction to the workshop followed by a guided walk around the Plaza de Armas and the surrounding streets.
Early morning walk around the city before breakfast. After breakfast we will cover the fundamental technical and artistic aspects of photography. After lunch we reconvene to discuss flash photography and to a photo shoot with models. You will learn basic techniques for portraiture.
After breakfast we depart for our fieldtrip to Maras, Moray and Chinchero. We should be back in the hotel after lunch. We will cover the histogram, white balance and the mid-tone gray in the afternoon.
Early morning walk before breakfast. Photo shoot with models. After lunch we will discuss the fundamentals of editing with Adobe’s Lightroom.
Visit to the Sacsayhuaman fortress and surrounding sites in the morning. After lunch we will cover High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography, smartphone photography and long exposure techniques.
In the morning we continue editing in Lightroom. After lunch we do a general review of key concepts learned, followed by a walk around the city. In the evening we will have a special presentation about pre-Columbian musical instruments.
Presentation of selected images, wrap-up and Q&A. Departure for the airport.
The cost for the workshop is:
US$ 2,950 per person for Standard Suites,
US$ 3,350 per person for Superior Suites, and
US$ 3,750 per person for the Presidential Suite
The cost includes the following:

We will be based at the Tocuyeros Boutique Hotel (www.tocuyeros.com), a refined and intimate boutique hotel a few blocks away from the city’s main square. During the workshop, our group will enjoy exclusive use of the hotel.
If you would like to bring a companion who is not going to participate in the workshop, the supplement is US$800. Your companion will be able to join you in all activities (walks, visits, lunches) other than the lectures. If your companion is going to participate in the workshop, each of you will receive a US$ 400 discount.
There is a non-refundable Registration Fee of US$500 per person to reserve a place in the workshop. The balance is due on May 8th, 2019. We reserve the right to cancel any registration if the balance has not been received by the due date.
Outdoor activities of workshop may vary based on attendance numbers.
Should the workshop be cancelled, all fees and deposits will be refunded in full.
However, we are not responsible for the cost of non-refundable airline tickets.
We strongly recommend that you purchase cancellation/travel insurance.
Tips: We recommend you bring a laptop with access to Lightroom if possible.
Bring more than one battery for your camera. Bring your flash and a light-weight tripod.
